In Got Rateng' village, Homa Bay County, a 32-year-old bodaboda rider, Jacob Osore, was killed by gangsters who robbed him and raped his wife during a home invasion.
The attackers demanded money from a recent fundraiser before assaulting Osore and his wife; police are currently investigating the incident.
The attack occurred at 4 am on Tuesday when the gangsters raided Jacob Osore's home. They assaulted him with a panga, leaving him unconscious before turning their violence on his wife.

According to Lambwe East Chief Benard Ouma, the assailants were heard demanding money that Osore had recently acquired through a fundraiser.
The funds were intended for purchasing another motorbike, as his previous one had been stolen in a prior robbery.
Osore was taken to Homa Bay County Referral Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His wife is also recovering at the same facility.
The body of the deceased is currently at the Homa Bay County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, Mbita Sub-county Police Commander Solomon Barngetuny stated that officers are already on the scene investigating the crime.
