Expressing the urgency of the situation, the hospital disclosed plans to pursue legal authorization from the courts for the disposal of these bodies once the stipulated notice period expires.
In accordance with the provisions outlined in the Public Health Act Cap 242, specifically the PUBLIC HEALTH (PUBLIC MORTUARIES) RULES, 1991, KNH has appealed to the public to step forward and claim the bodies within the designated 7-day timeframe.
The somber farewell disposal roster compiled by Kenyatta National Hospital includes the heartbreaking mention of three sets of twins and one set of quadruplets, underscoring the profound impact of this poignant predicament on families and communities.
