Kameno Goro Joins NRG Radio as CEO Almost a Year after Leaving Kiss FM

After a successful three-year tenure at Kiss FM, Kamene Goro parted ways with the station in January 2023 when her contract wasn't renewed. 

During this time, she spent her days accompanying her partner, DJ Bonnez, to his club shows.

However, on Monday, April 1, NRG Radio made a surprising announcement on social media, revealing that Kamene had taken on the role of CEO at the station.

This marked Kamene's return to the radio industry in a significant capacity, though not as a presenter but as the head of NRG Radio.

NRG Radio's announcement of Kamene's appointment stirred up speculation due to the timing coinciding with April Fools’ Day. 

Fans were divided in their responses, with some offering congratulations while others questioned the authenticity of the news, considering the date.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the announcement, Kamene had previously refuted claims of being fired from Kiss FM, clarifying that her departure was due to the expiration of her contract. She expressed disappointment over not having her contract renewed by the station.

Kiss FM originally recruited Kamene and her former co-host, Andrew Kibe, from NRG Radio in 2019. 

Following Kibe's departure in June 2020, comedian Jalang'o joined Kamene as her new co-host until he left in February 2022 to pursue a political career, ultimately winning the Lang'ata parliamentary seat.
