JSS Teacher Kills Self Outside Lover's House In Bomet

A somber atmosphere envelops Ndaraweta area in Bomet County following the tragic death of a 33-year-old man, who reportedly took his own life outside a rental room where his partner resides. 

Assistant chief John Tanui revealed that the body was discovered hanging from the verandah roof.

Identified as Bernard Langat, the deceased served as a Junior Secondary School (JSS) teacher in Trans Mara, Narok County.

Reports suggest Langat had been spending time with his girlfriend, a student at Bomet Central TTI, in a rental accommodation near the college.

According to sources, Langat's absence from his partner's side last night prompted concern. His girlfriend, known as Sharon, was the first to discover the tragic scene.

An unverified Facebook post attributed to Langat indicates personal struggles in his love life and a decision to end his own life.

Authorities from Silibwet police station responded to the incident, moving the body to Longisa Hospital mortuary for further investigation.
