According to authorities, the young boy had been residing with his aunt, Bahati, following his mother Lina John's departure for employment in Saudi Arabia.
Mlewa, in a shocking display of cruelty, reportedly utilized burning papers to inflict excruciating burns on the base of the child's penis.
Following the heinous act, Mlewa accompanied the injured child to Tarasaa Catholic Dispensary, where he received medical attention for his injuries before being discharged.
Subsequently, law enforcement intervened after the incident was reported, leading to Mlewa's arrest.

The victim, meanwhile, was transferred to NGAO Sub-County Hospital for further medical assessment and was subsequently discharged after necessary procedures, including the completion of a P3 form.
Mlewa remains in police custody as legal proceedings await her, signaling the gravity of the offense committed.
