A fatal accident occurred in Bondo, Siaya County, resulting in the death of one individual. 

According to authorities, the victim, an unidentified man, was struck by a lorry near Malaika stage.

County police commander Cleti Kimaiyo reported that the man had stumbled and fallen onto the road before being fatally struck by the lorry's rear wheels.

"The driver, Winter Otieno, was heading towards Bondo police station when the incident happened. 

The lorry collided with the man, resulting in his immediate demise," stated Kimaiyo.

Angered by the tragedy, members of the public assaulted the driver, Winter Otieno, causing severe head injuries.

The deceased's body was transported to Bondo Sub County Hospital mortuary for further examination and identification.
