The family of Charles Ouda, the esteemed Kenyan actor widely known as 'Charlie,' has sadly announced his passing at the age of 38. 

In a collective statement, the family, along with Charlie's fiancée, former BBC journalist Ciru Muriuki, has requested privacy during this time of mourning.

Reports indicate that Charlie, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on the night of Saturday, February 3.

The joint statement expresses, "Dear friends and family, it is with deep sadness that we convey the loss of Charles 'Charlie' J. Ouda on the night of February 3, 2024.
