According to the police report, the truck, driven by an unidentified individual, was en route to Nakuru when the driver lost control.
The trailer swerved into the opposite lane, colliding with the oncoming matatu, which was carrying 16 passengers to Eldoret.
Six passengers in the matatu died instantly, while an unknown number of others suffered serious injuries.
The injured were promptly transported to Burnt Forest Sub-County Hospital for immediate medical attention.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary at Eldama Ravine Sub-County Hospital, where they await postmortem examinations.
