As a result, several homes were destroyed, and twenty people lost their lives in the disaster.

Stephen Kirui, the Naivasha police commander, confirmed the incident and stated that several individuals were rushed to Naivasha Hospital for medical treatment. 

The situation prompted a swift response from emergency services and community members.
