In Muguga village, Kabete, Kiambu County, police have apprehended a 43-year-old man accused of breaking into his ex-wife's residence and viciously stabbing both her and a male companion, a month following their separation. 

Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect's attempt to flee was thwarted as residents gathered, compelling him to barricade himself inside until the police arrived. 

Kabete Police Commander Anthony Mbogo verified the incident, confirming the suspect's detention at Muguga police station. The victims, having suffered severe injuries, were transported to Thogoto Hospital for extensive medical care.

In Butula, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended an 18-year-old woman suspected of impersonating a General Service Unit (GSU) officer. 

The arrest, detailed in a police report on Wednesday, January 17, took place in the Bumala area of Busia County. Jacinta Merylin Ouma, the 18-year-old in question, was found in full GSU attire during her arrest, accompanied by a male accomplice who is now also in police custody.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to face charges related to the impersonation of a GSU officer
