Busia Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Partner to Death

A 24-year-old woman, Joyce Atieno Odhiambo, has been arrested in South Gate village, Butula Sub-County, Busia County, for allegedly killing her 29-year-old partner, Lucas Onyango Odera. 

The incident reportedly occurred after a domestic dispute, during which Atieno allegedly stabbed Odera seven times with a pair of scissors.

According to a police report, neighbors rushed Odera to Sega Mission Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment. 

Police officers who visited the scene collected the blood-stained scissors, the victim's clothes, and the suspect's clothes as evidence.

Atieno is currently in custody at Butula police station, while the deceased's body has been moved to the Sega Mission Hospital mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
