Mubarak, who was traveling from Mombasa towards Nairobi, was reportedly speeding and attempting to overtake another vehicle when he miscalculated, resulting in a devastating collision with the oncoming truck.

The impact of the crash was severe, and both Mubarak and a female passenger in the Range Rover died instantly. Their bodies were later taken to the Coast General Hospital Mortuary in Mombasa.
The canter truck’s passengers, who sustained serious injuries, were rushed to Mariakani Sub-County Hospital for emergency treatment.
The condition of the injured individuals remains unclear, but they are receiving medical care.
Mubarak, a motor vehicle dealer based in Mombasa, was reportedly delivering the Range Rover to a client at the time of the accident.
The wreckage of both vehicles has been towed to the local police station as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Preliminary findings suggest that speeding and improper overtaking were likely factors contributing to the tragedy.
This accident is one of many in recent times, highlighting a worrying trend of rising road fatalities across the country.
