According to a police report filed at the Narok police station, the Land Cruiser was overtaking improperly when it collided with the oncoming trailer.
All four occupants of the Land Cruiser, including three foreigners and the driver, were killed instantly.
The driver of the trailer sustained minor injuries to both legs. The collision caused both vehicles to land on the left side of the road in the direction of Narok, with the Toyota Land Cruiser suffering extensive damage.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the Narok County Hospital mortuary, where they will remain pending autopsies.
