Tharaka Nithi Mother of 2 Who Disappeared While Headed to Work Found Dead

The family of Peris Mugera endured a week of agonizing uncertainty, clinging to hope for her safe return after she vanished on her way to work.

Tragically, their worst fears were realized when her lifeless body was discovered along the Makutano Sagana Highway, bearing bruises on her forehead, as reported by the police.

Peris, a young mother from Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County, had bid farewell to her two children, informing them of her intention to meet a friend in town before heading to the office.

However, she never made it to her destination, leaving her loved ones distraught and desperate for answers.

Authorities, including officers from Rukanga Police Post, OCS Kiamaciri police station, DCI, and CSI officials from Kerugoya, swiftly responded to the grim discovery.

The scene was meticulously processed, with the body taken to Kerugoya mortuary for further examination.

The heart-wrenching revelation left Peris's relatives grappling with profound grief and disbelief, with no immediate leads on the circumstances surrounding her death.

Despite efforts by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to trace her last phone signal to Kathoge, Kirinyaga County, questions lingered about the events leading to her demise.

As the search for Peris concluded, her loved ones confronted the painful reality of her loss, compounded by unanswered questions about her untimely passing.

Her final Facebook post, lamenting physical discomfort, added a poignant layer to the mystery surrounding her disappearance.

Peris, formerly employed by the late Tharaka-Nithi gubernatorial candidate Gitari Mbiuki, leaves behind two children, aged six and 15.

Described as a woman devoid of enemies and distress, her sudden demise has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, underscoring the fragility of life and the enduring anguish of unanswered questions in the wake of tragedy.
