In Nanyuki, Laikipia County, a middle-aged man receives a 13-year prison sentence for defiling his 13-year-old stepdaughter, following testimony from five witnesses provided by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
The court heard that between June and September 2023, the accused drugged his stepdaughter before committing the crime, leading Justice Ben Mararo to declare the prosecution's case as proven beyond a reasonable doubt, resulting in the man being found guilty as charged.
According to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the prosecution called five witnesses who testified that the accused defiled his stepdaughter.
The court heard that between June and September 2023, the accused drugged the victim with an unknown substance before committing the heinous act.
