Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) founder Bishop Allan Kiuna has passed away at a Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment.

The 57-year-old reportedly died around noon before his body was transferred to the Lee Funeral Home.

In a heartfelt Instagram post in 2019, his wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, disclosed that he had been diagnosed with cancer the previous year.

She detailed how chemotherapy had caused him to lose his hair, gain weight, and experience severe pain in his legs, making it difficult for him to stand or walk for long periods.

In 2022, Bishop Kiuna sought further treatment in the United States, where he spent a year. Upon his return last year, he triumphantly announced that he had overcome the disease.

During a thanksgiving service at his Nairobi church on December 10, 2023, he declared himself cancer-free, revealing that his treatment had cost over $3 million (nearly Ksh.460 million at the time).

He emphasized that none of this money came from his own pocket. "For the one year that I was in the US, my treatment cost $3 million, and I didn’t remove one coin from my pocket because the God of heaven provided. I did not call anyone," he said.

He encouraged others not to become bitter about their struggles, as he believed that overcoming challenges made him better. "My best days are ahead of me," he proclaimed.

The thanksgiving ceremony also celebrated Bishop Kiuna’s 57th birthday and his 29th wedding anniversary with Rev. Kathy.
