In a startling turn of events, Kapsilibwa village in Sagamian, Narok County witnessed a tragic incident on Friday, as two brothers took their own lives through hanging in what appears to be a suicide pact. 

According to police reports, Vincent Kipkorir Koech, aged 19, and Gilbert Kibet Koech, aged 17, made this fateful decision following a dispute over land allocation by their father, David Towett. 

The dispute arose when Towett allocated a parcel of land to his first wife, who had recently returned to their homestead after being divorced years ago.

Documentation from the police highlights the intensity of the brothers' opposition to their father's decision, with threats issued against their step-family and Towett himself. 

Additionally, the report notes the brothers' prior involvement in criminal activities, including theft incidents reported in local churches.

Following the tragic event, law enforcement officials have conducted investigations at the crime scene along the Amalo River. 

Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased siblings have been transferred to Longisa County Referral Hospital Mortuary, awaiting postmortem examinations to ascertain the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
