Despite efforts to save him, Kang’ethe was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mau Narok Health Centre.

His body was transferred to Egerton University's mortuary for a post-mortem examination, while the truck was impounded at Njoro police station for inspection.

In a separate incident, an explosive device was discovered on Saturday in a farmland in the Wangwachi area of Laikipia County.
While farmers were tilling their land, they stumbled upon the explosive. Promptly, officers from Sipili Police Station were dispatched to the scene, confirming it as a live 60 mm bomb.

The bomb was safely transported to Sipili police station for further handling, with bomb disposal experts en route to handle its detonation, ensuring the safety of the area.
