Law enforcement authorities are currently probing an incident involving a senior police officer and his two children who sustained injuries when the concrete ceiling in their kitchen collapsed in Ngong, Kajiado County.

The incident transpired at the recently established National Police Leadership Academy.

Inspector Musa Musungu, a resident in one of the senior officer's apartments, was present in the kitchen with his seven and 13-year-old children when the concrete ceiling gave way on a Sunday evening.

Consequently, all three individuals suffered injuries and were promptly transported to Ngong Sub County Hospital. Fortunately, they were treated and subsequently discharged in fair condition, according to the police.

A nine-year-old child managed to escape unharmed during the incident. In response to the occurrence, an investigation has been initiated, involving engineers who visited the scene to assess the situation.

The National Police Leadership Academy, constructed by the Central Bank of Kenya earlier this year, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance leadership within the National Police Service.
