Night Guard Fatally Attacked During Robbery at Kisii Liquor Store

The perpetrators made off with alcoholic beverages valued at Sh30,000 following the guard's murder

In Ogembo Town, Kisii County, a tragic incident unfolded as a 27-year-old night guard, Bishop Ayuma Onyango, was brutally hacked to death during a raid on a local wine and spirit shop. 

The assailants, whose number remains unknown, forcibly entered the establishment, making off with assorted alcoholic drinks valued at Sh30,000. 

Bishop Ayuma Onyango's lifeless body was discovered later, lying in a pool of blood. The robbery yielded no recovery, and the victim's body has been transferred to the Gucha Sub County Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Caxton Mbuthia Killed in Kiriti Village

Meanwhile, in Baricho, Kirinyaga County, a 75-year-old man named Caxton Mbuthia met a gruesome end as he was hacked to death in Kiriti village. 

His lifeless body, displaying multiple injuries, was found outside a homestead. A blood-stained fork jembe was recovered from the house where the incident occurred and has been retained by the police as evidence. 

A suspect is currently being questioned in connection with the murder, and the body of Caxton Mbuthia awaits autopsy at the mortuary.

In another tragic domestic dispute in Kirwarwa, Muranga County, a man took the life of his 42-year-old wife, Elizabeth Njoroge, during a violent altercation. 

Elizabeth's lifeless body was discovered on the bed, bearing visible injuries on her hands and legs. The couple's home showed signs of a disturbance, with household goods scattered. 

The suspect was apprehended by the police a few hours later, and Elizabeth Njoroge's body was conveyed to the General Kago mortuary for autopsy.
