EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi confirmed Omwoyo's arrest, detailing her modus operandi.

Initially, she would allegedly convince her victims that she possessed sensitive corruption files capable of incriminating them, threatening immediate arrest.

Subsequently, she purportedly negotiated bribes amounting to millions, claiming the funds would be shared with high-ranking officials at EACC, ODPP, and the Anti-Corruption Court.

The arrest transpired following a complaint lodged by one of Omwoyo's victims, a senior government official. Omwoyo reportedly summoned this official to appear at the EACC Integrity Centre, threatening repercussions for non-compliance.
